Since the summer vacation, the "scorching heat" has swept through many places, but it has not affected the enthusiasm of tourists for travel. According to the latest data from the China Tourism Research Institute, in the summer of 2023, the number of domestic tourists reached 1.839 billion, achieving a domestic tourism revenue of 1.21 trillion yuan. The tourism heat during the summer of 2023 is significantly higher than that of the same period in 2019, with most destinations receiving the highest number of tourists in history.
According to the "2023 Summer Travel Market Report" released by Ctrip Travel, the top 10 popular summer tourism destinations in China are: Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Changsha. From the perspective of product types, summer vacation, research and study tours, seaside tours, family tours, immersive night tours, and theme park tours have become hot consumption topics for summer tourism. From the perspective of customer groups, parent-child families and student customer groups have fully returned.
From the perspective of tourism supply and demand relationship, conventional tourism product routes and elements are no longer able to meet the needs of tourists, showing that tourist demand is driving innovation and upgrading of industrial content. As a result, in the first half of the year, there were "Zibo Barbecue" driven by food, "Guizhou Village BA and Village Supermarket" represented by sports leagues, and "concerts" in various regions that ignited the tourism economy. From the perspective of the three explosive points of "food+tourism", "sports+tourism", and "concerts+tourism", tourism is only a specific act of rushing to a certain attraction, rather than a core attraction. Looking back at the current tourist attractions, I think we place too much emphasis on the results of tourism, while there is still a gap in terms of content and services.
As the first waterfront commercial district in Shanxi Province, Jinyangli integrates functions such as catering, culture, shopping, entertainment, and sightseeing. In the past two years, I have visited several times and found that tourists mainly focus on sightseeing. Many people have reported that it is boring and lacks content. However, when I recently visited, I found that there has been a significant increase in customer traffic, length of stay, and consumption content. Through analysis and observation, I found that there have been significant changes in grasping childlike innocence, stomach, and trendy fashion. Therefore, I propose my thoughts and viewpoints on these three aspects for the industry to refer to.
